Hibernation Day

Hibernation day was a complete success - a HUGE thank you to all who helped out! It sure feels like Spring already :) (today at least) Thanks for visiting!

Hibernation Day!

Hibernation day will be Monday - please send your child in pajamas and no need to pack a lunch. We will be "hibernating" in our class all day (including breakfast and lunch time). The kids are looking forward to this special event as we've been learning about hibernation and what animals hibernate. Have a great weekend! Thanks for visiting!

Assessments

Hello all - Please look for a copy of your child's winter letter ID and sounds assessments. This will give you an idea of where he/she is at this point in the year. I will be posting the class average so that you can get a better idea on Facebook later today when I get them calculated. I'm very happy with the growth so far this year in literacy! Numbers

Hello all - today we reviewed numbers 0 - 5, quantifying, writing, recognizing, comparing, etc. If you get a chance at home to review this, please do so. The kids worked very hard at this today and it's difficult stuff to understand sometimes. We built towers and had the opportunity to demolish them when we were finished. We could also use some extra practice on our writing skills, as we skipped that today due to our diligence during math - we earned an extra center time! STAY WARM!! Thanks for visiting!

Winter

I think winter is actually here now! Please remember to send all the winter clothing that they will need here at school - if you would like to send an extra pair of snow pants or boots that stay here, you may do so - just please let me know.
