Spring Babies

Last week you may have noticed a weekly reader issue about Spring Babies that came home - we've decided to hatch "spring babies" (baby chicks) here at school. Mrs. Van Zante came and spoke with the class yesterday about how chicks hatch and we have an incubator in our room that the kids have already checked several times today. They should hatch around April 17th. This project is a popular one with the kids already! Thanks for visiting!

If you haven't sent back your child's Monday Mat, please don't forget to next week. I've made a few extras, but not enough for everyone. We've started learning more about reading and sight words this week, the kids are REALLY excited about this. Keep practicing those mats and letters at home, it really shows in the classroom! Monday Mats

Enjoying this beautiful weather! We've been talking about different signs of spring in the classroom as it begins next Tuesday - reminder that Monday Mats are coming home today and to practice them over the weekend. It can be as little as 10 minutes while driving down the road or as much as you want. Don't forget to send them back Monday, I've noticed a growth in the kids already by doing this! :) Thanks for visiting!

Tomorrow

We will be celebrating our 100th day tomorrow with Pizza for lunch - thank you Holly Padgett for arranging this special treat! The kids do NOT know this yet.
